AirTran Airways Business Class upgrades are available for sale per segment, per market, based on flight length.
A2B members receive free Business Class upgrades for full coach passengers (Y or B Class). Normally full coach passengers pay $49-$99 per segment to upgrade to our roomy Business Class. First choice of available seat assignments for all classes of service. So you'll usually be able to reserve an aisle or window seat.

EarlyBird Check-in Customers will be checked in automatically and receive a reserved boarding position 36 hours prior to their flight's scheduled local departure time. Customers who purchase EarlyBird Check-in between 36 and 25 hours prior to their flight's scheduled local departure time will have their boarding position reserved 25 hours prior to their flight's scheduled local departure time. Boarding Passes can be printed beginning 24 hours prior to the flight's scheduled local departure time. Customers who have purchased Anytime Fares will receive priority over other fare types during the initial boarding position assignment.

- willing and able to help in the event of an emergency,
- not traveling with an infant, children, or pets,
- able to speak and understand English, and
- able to lift 50 pounds.
Customers can change their seat assignments on the web site. If the newly-selected seat has a higher fee, the difference is paid as normal. If the fee for the new seat assignment is lower, a credit for the seat is associated with the reservation which may be applied toward a future booking by using the confirmation code.

Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Chairman's Preferred members have access to special preferred seats (including exit row). They also receive with the purchase of a full fare (Y or B class) unlimited complimentary upgrades to First Class within the contiguous U.S., Alaska, Canada, Central America, Mexico and the Caribbean area, as well as companion upgrades with your tier status.
