Ticket Change: Airline Fee Information

Air Canada:
$75
$75 ticket change fee plus the fare difference. Same-day confirmed changes for an earlier flight at check-in: Complimentary for Latitude and Executive Class Flexible customers. $75 with Tango fares, as with Tango Plus and Executive Class Lowest fares. $75 with Aeroplan reward tickets. Same day airport change fee for Tango is $150 CAD.

Air Tran:
$75
If you change or cancel your reservation within 4 hours of the time of your original booking, they will waive the cancellation/change fee normally charged for all coach fares. All changes or cancellations of coach fares that occur more than 4 hours after the original booking time will incur a $75 cancellation fee per passenger. Note that any increase in fares associated with itinerary changes will still be applied.
All AirTran Airways fares are non-refundable (except Business Class) and a $75 fee per person applies to any change made after purchase, plus any applicable increase in airfare. Customers not sure of which flight they may want also have the option of placing unused airfare in a credit file for one year from the date of the original itinerary booking, for a fee of $75.
A2B members have no change fees for select coach fare passengers, as long as the reservation is changed one hour prior to departure. Fully refundable fares (on select coach fares) as long as the reservation is canceled one hour prior to departure. Name changes and same-day, same city pair standby allowed on all fare classes with no additional charge. Change and cancellation fees waived for Y, B, and M fares for A+ Elite members.

Changes made through an Alaska Airlines/Horizon Air Reservation Call Center or Airport Ticket Counter incur a $100 (USD) per person change fee plus applicable fees and any difference in fare Changes made at alaskaair.com incur a $75 (USD) per person change fee plus applicable fees and any difference in fare. Same day confirmed flight change is allowed for $25 (USD) at Check-in Kiosk or through Web Check-In only.
Full Flex and First Class tickets have no change fee. Mileage Plan Service Charges and Ticket Change Fees Waived on Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air Tickets for MVP Gold members. American:

For tickets issued beginning February 22, 2010, customers who will retain their ability to standby for free, on the day of travel, include:
- AAdvantage Executive Platinum®, AAdvantage Platinum® and AAdvantage Gold®, as well as oneworld® Alliance Emerald, Sapphire or Ruby members
- Those who purchase tickets in First and Business Class as well as those who purchase unrestricted Economy Class fares (Y, B, H class of service)
- Active U.S. Military personnel traveling on orders or personal travel and active U.S. Military dependents traveling on orders
- View a complete list of passengers who may standby at no charge
All customers will have an option to guarantee a seat on an earlier or later same-day flight if Confirmed Flight Change is offered for that flight. The standby policy applies to travel within and between the U.S., Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, the Caribbean or Canada on American Airlines, American Eagle® and AmericanConnection®. You can get a confirmed seat for same-day flight changes for domestic travel† on all fares for a $50 charge*. Passengers can call Reservations or handle the transaction at the airport ticket counter or Self-Service Check-In machines. The alternate flights must be for your same itinerary and your flight change can only be confirmed within 12 hours of departure of the desired flight. Continental:

Customers holding restricted tickets* can make same-day flight changes for a discounted fee of $50 or a $25 fee for OnePass Gold Elite Members. OnePass Platinum members may request a same-day change at no charge. The following conditions apply:
- The itinerary must be wholly operated by Continental**.
- The same-day flight change option will be available within 24 hours before your original scheduled flight. Requested flight must be available in your fare class*** and be departing within the next 24 hours from when you are making the request. Changes must be made prior to your original scheduled flight.
- You may standby if seats are not available in the purchased fare class. In these cases, the Same Day Change fee will still apply, but will not be charged unless you are assigned a seat on your alternate flight. Changes in routing are not allowed when standing by. Standby may be requested on the day of departure at the airport kiosk or with a Continental airport representative. Once you are added to the flight standby list, you can check your real-time standby status at continental.com/info.
- Upgraded tickets will be automatically added to the upgrade standby list at your applicable upgrade priority. Once you are added to the upgrade standby list, you can check your real-time upgrade status at continental.com/info.
- Changes are only available for the exact origin and destination airport. Connection points may be changed provided the new routing is permitted by the fare purchased.
Same-day flight change may be confirmed when checking in online, at any airport kiosk, by calling your local Continental Airlines reservations office or with a Continental airport representative. * Excludes fares that do not allow changes of any kind, such as continental.com Weekend Specials and tickets bought through certain wholesale outlets (e.g. where you do not know the identity of the airline until after you buy the ticket). ** Includes Continental Micronesia, Continental Express flights operated by ExpressJet Airlines, Inc. and Chautauqua Airlines, Inc.; Continental Connection flights operated by Cape Air, Colgan Air, CommutAir and Continental Connection bus service. ***Within 3.5 hours of flight time, fare class availability may be expanded if the flight is booked below capacity. A reasonable service fee for refund services will be charged in certain non U.S. domestic markets, primarily, Europe, Middle East, Asian sub-Continent, Africa and the Gulf countries. All customers booking travel at continental.com or Continental Reservations are required to purchase tickets at the time they make their reservations. Based on the fare rules, you may have to pay a service fee and/or a difference in fare. For travel within the 50 United States, the fee is $150 for Delta flights. An additional charge applies if you would like us to change a ticket that we didn't issue. This charge applies to any ticket issued in the United States or Canada by anyone other than us, such as:
- A traditional travel agency.
- An online travel agency.
- Another airline, including SkyTeam and codeshare partners.
The $50 external ticket handling charge is:
- Waived if the change can be completed here at delta.com.
- Applied for tickets changed through Reservations Sales.
- Applied for tickets changed at one of our Ticket Office Locations.
The same-day confirmed travel option allows you to change your flight time on the same day of travel for a fee of $50. To use the same-day confirmed option, you must confirm your new flight within 3 hours of the scheduled departure time. If you have a flexible fare (usually a refundable ticket), you may be able to change your itinerary without a fee. As a Platinum or Gold Medallion® member, you may request a change to your itinerary and be confirmed at no extra charge on an earlier or later Delta or Delta Connection® flight on the same day as ticketed. Your request must be within three hours of the scheduled departure of the new requested flight

For JetBlue Nonrefundable Fares, changes or cancellations may be made prior to scheduled departure for a fee of $100 per person plus any applicable difference in airfare. Any remaining balance will be placed in a JetBlue air-only credit and may be applied toward future travel for one year from date of issuance. If a nonrefundable reservation is not changed or cancelled prior to scheduled departure, all money associated with the reservation is forfeited.
For JetBlue Nonrefundable Fares, changes or cancellations may be made prior to scheduled departure for a fee of $100 per person plus any applicable difference in airfare. Any remaining balance will be placed in a JetBlue air-only credit and may be applied toward future travel for one year from date of issuance. If a nonrefundable reservation is not changed or cancelled prior to scheduled departure, all money associated with the reservation is forfeited. For JetBlue Refundable Fares, changes and cancellations for a full refund are permitted prior to scheduled departure. Such changes are subject to availability and any applicable difference in airfare. If a refundable reservation is not changed or cancelled prior to scheduled departure, all money associated with the reservation will be placed in a JetBlue air-only credit and may be applied toward future travel for one year from date of issuance. A Same-Day Change Fee of $40 per person will be applied for your confirmed seat. Changes may be made to your True Pass by calling our Reservations team for a fee of $100 per person if an Award seat is available. Name changes are not permitted. If you will not be traveling and would like someone else to use your ticket, you may cancel your reservation for a fee of $100 per person and the remaining amount will be placed into a JetBlue credit good for one year.

Midwest:

If you would like to cancel your trip, your ticket remains valid for one year from the date of issue. If your ticket is non-refundable, you may apply its value toward the purchase of another non-refundable fare type. (Excluding instant purchase Internet only fares.) A $100 administrative fee will be charged for confirmed date/time changes. If the new fare is less expensive than the original fare, you may apply that difference towards the administrative fee. Midwest Executive members have their ticket change and confirmed standby fee waived.

Southwest:

No charge for ticket changes. You pay the difference in the fare. If you cancel the flight you receive full credit to use on another flight.

Spirit:

For non-refundable bookings: Changes made online at spiritair.com cost $100. Changes made through Reservations or at airport locations cost $110. Refundable fares are unrestricted, and changes and cancellations are not subject to service fees.

United:

$150 ticket change fee. Plus any fare difference, including applicable taxes and service charges, will be assessed. The price difference will either be refunded to the original credit card (refundable tickets only) or charged to the provided form of payment. Confirm a seat on an alternate flight on the same day of travel within 3 hours of the time of your request for $75 with EasyCheck-in Online or at an EasyCheck-in kiosk at the airport. Or, Check in and standby for an earlier flight without paying a fee.

US Airways:

Changes for non-refundable tickets are subject to a fee ($150 for US, Mexico, Canada, and Caribbean destinations, and $250 for transatlantic destinations), and if applicable, any difference in fares. Your new itinerary will be priced at the lowest available published fare at the time of change, which may result in a fare increase.
